Iran and its Yemeni ally Ansarullah continue to upgrade their arsenal of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and direct-attack munitions. On 21 September 2023, Yemen’s Ansarullah (Houthi) movement staged a parade in the Yemeni capital Sanaa to commemorate the ninth anniversary of their takeover of the city. Among the capabilities on display were several previously unseen ballistic- and cruise-missile types of Iranian origin.
