For many years, I worked as a field service engineer, flying out on business trips every week with a large suitcase full of tools. To find even a little time for music, I had to bring my guitar along, so I could play for a few hours in the hotel of a new city after work. With this kind of routine, it often felt like my efforts were not worth it, and sometimes it even seemed out of place. Also, moving from city to city and country to country, I found it increasingly difficult to maintain my interests without losing myself in each new context. But this song motivated me not to give up and to carry along what I felt was important, even if it didn’t fit in my carry-on.
