Want You More - Robert Palmer & Clare Fischer

In this long overdue revision of one of my earliest videos, I finally have something that at least comes close to doing justice to this unforgettable collaboration between composer/arranger Clare Fischer and the late singer/songwriter Robert Palmer, from the latter’s 1992 album, “Ridin’ High.“ With an amazing orchestral accompaniment, courtesy of Clare, Palmer performs his own composition (possibly his most beautiful), joined by John Bilezikjian on oud. Incidentally, although the rest of the featured ’production stills’ on display - i.e. oboe soloist and string section - are indeed ringers, the oud player portrayed here is in fact the aforementioned JB, although not, regrettably, in an actual photo from this recording session.
