Maya MEL Tutorial: Noise Function

This tutorial illustrates uses of Maya’s noise function in order to achieve controlled procedural motion. An excerpt from Starcraft 2 teaser is used as an example. My structure is not an exact replica, but a rough approximation. I did not work on the cinematic, nor do I know what technique they used to achieve their effect, but I have a pretty good idea.
