Restoration Old Stove Max Bode & Co. 1903

Today we renovated a historic Max Bode & Co. cast iron stove. Wien. The company was founded in 1863 in Vienna. Its owner was Karl Hermann Philip. This company specialized in the production of cast iron stoves, ventilation grilles, safety chimney doors and the production of stove repair components. In the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, cast iron stoves were mainly made to order. Such a stove was unattainable for ordinary people. Industrial production only started in the second half of the 19th century, and many large companies were founded at that time, for example in Germany, France, the USA and/or Denmark. During production, both the furnaces and the traction system were improved over time. Many of us have a stove at home, and with the arrival of colder weather, we enjoy the pleasant warmth, for example, from a fireplace stove.
