Kenwood Model Nine G Demo, 1978, 80WPC

This Kenwood Model Nine G was manufactured in 1979 and is 80WPC. I bought this from a Facebook Marketplace seller a couple months ago and all it needs is a new FM source indicator light. Also might need a recap as the highs could be a little more brilliant, but I won’t push it too hard (although it’s strong and all original). Has three native speaker outputs, supports speaker loads down to 4 ohms, has Dolby FM (and the ability to run any source through Dolby - very cool to take a source in real time and apply NR), and great meters. I’m not going to test the timer - the plastic shaft on the timer is known to break, and this one’s solid and and in the passive position. While it’s massive size wise, it’s a little hollow inside, so there is some intentional marketing effort to make this look like a beast. And, it is one for sure but generally not as heavy as it might appear. I always welcome your questions and comments - I have a huge collection of receivers and can’t seem to stop. I enjoy post
