Russia Accused of ‘Hiding’ Alexei Navalny’s Body to ‘Cover Traces of Murder’

Protests and vigils have been held near Russian embassies around the world as people mourn the death of Alexei Navalny who died of “sudden death syndrome”, according to the Arctic penal colony where he was being held for a 19-year sentence. Navalny’s spokesperson has challenged Russia saying the 47-year-old was “murdered” in jail on Friday at 14:17 local time. His mother and lawyer went to the morgue in Salekhard where officials said his body was taken as part of a post-mortem investigation but it was closed and when the lawyer called the morgue, they were told the body was not there. Navalny’s team has demanded for his body to be “handed over to his family immediately”. #russia #putin #alexeinavalny Subscribe here: TikTok: @ondemandnews Twitter: Facebook: If you wish to purchase any of our clips for commercial use, please visit:
