MY FAVORITE ANKLE MOBILITY DRILL

Good ankle mobility is a prerequisite for many of our athletic and daily movements. Limited ROM can cause compensations such as valgus collapse of the knee and flattening of the 👣 arch. It also is a major factor in 💥 conditions such as plantar fasciitis, patellar tendinitis, and Achilles tendinopathy among others. Our current series is about the last one so let’s take a closer 👀 look. If the Achilles is tight, it can be subjected to excessive stretch, especially with 🏃 running. In fact, 53% of Achilles tendinopathy cases are in runners. The second most common sport is ⚽ soccer, coming in at 11% of injuries. Our first step in fixing this injury is improving our ankle mobility. This video will show you my favorite way to do just that. @mharden_dc and I will also have an assessment up for you tonight on our 🎥 YouTube channel so you can test and retest to monitor progress so look for the link in my profile later tonight. Tag a friend with stiff ankles and share the wealth!
