The Snow Girls (1927)

c 1927 Buxton, Derbyshire. Sleigh is pulled by two large horses across a snowy field. Children and two women with sledges. People sledge down a snowy hillside. Hampstead: women and children have snowball fights. Closer shots of people sledging. Berlin: indoor (?) sledging and skiing in an “Ice Palace“. A long line of people in snowshoes walk along holding waists in a snake like formation - looks pretty mad! A man helps a girl in a swimsuit take her trousers off. She then takes off her stockings and puts slippers on. She lies on a blanket on the snow with a cigarette in her mouth. Her friend pulls off her boots (which she didn’t have on before) - it looks like this was supposed to be a bit of “trick“ photography to make it look as if the boots suddenly disappeared, but it didn’t quite work! The woman lies on the blanket smiling at the camera and fluffing her hair. We then see her doing a Charleston style dance in the snow with another outfit on but still showing a lot of flesh. F
