THIS CITY IS 1000 YEARS OLD! Exploring Russia’s Past

Welcome to Suzdal, a city that is 1000 years old and the jewel of Russia’s golden ring. Dating back to 1024, it is full of Orthodox churches (40 of them!) with many listed under the UNESCO world heritage site. I decided to take a step back into the past and feel the true Russian soul. The atmosphere here is unlike other Russian cities due to its rustic, country feel combined with medieval monuments (and colorful houses no more than 2 stories high! 🏡) Here you can visit a famous monastery that was once home to aristocratic women no longer wanted by their husbands, try cucumber ice cream, and pretend like you are in a movie! Suzdal is recommended for everyone who is not indifferent to the history of ancient Rus’, its culture and rich heritage.
