Inside the auditorium we see L/S of Irene Dunne and John Wayne on the stage as they present the best actor award to the dashing David Niven (for ’Separate Tables’). M/S of a huge Oscar figure. Back onstage a very glam Rosalind Russell (great outfit topped with glittery turban) presents a special honorary Oscar to Maurice Chevalier for his performance in the film ’Gigi’.
