Source - The Crown (Netflix Series) The Russian Imperial Romanov family was shot and bayoneted to death by Bolshevik revolutionaries, under orders from the Ural Regional Soviet, July 1918. The bodies were then taken to the Koptyaki forest, where they were stripped, mutilated with grenades to prevent identification, and buried.
