How to Pipe A Needlepoint Pattern with Royal Icing (aka Argyle Pattern on a Stocking Cookie)

Wondering how I piped the insanely detailed needlepoint patterns on my stuff-able stocking cookies posted recently for Christmas (video here: )? Well, you’re in luck! In this video, I reveal all of the details needed for needlepoint icing work, including the optimum icing consistencies for the grid and dots that form the pattern, tips for laying the grid uniformly, and even how to correct mistakes mid-process. I also share an argyle template, which is a good starter pattern for needlepoint beginners. (Note: Some decorators call this the cross-stitch technique, but I think it looks a heck of a lot more like my great grandmother’s needlepoint!)
