Colin Blunstone - Wonderful • TopPop

Colin Blunstone, once singer of the Zombies - and solo since decades - is currently in the middle of a tour through the Netherlands, the country where he is world famous. He had many hits here in the early seventies of the last century, of which 5 reached the Top 40 and another 5 the Tip Parade. That is why he can do a club tour in the Netherlands in which he visits seven cities. The setlist of his performance includes 25 songs spread over Zombie’s hits, (such as the inevitable “She’s Not There“, but also “Time of the Season“ and “Just out of Reach“), his own compositions and well-known covers. He also performs “The Wild Places“ by his good friend Duncan Browne, his solo hits “Wonderful“, “Andorra“ and “I Want Some More“ and the wonderful “So Much More“. And of course his most famous song “Old and Wise“ from his collaboration with The Alan Parsons Project from the album “Eye in the Sky“. In addition to Colin Blunstone, the excellent band includes keyboardist Pete Billington, bassist Eliott Mason, drummer Steve Rodford and guitarist Manolo Pollidario. Don’t miss him! Colin Blunstone can still be seen and heard in: De Bosuil Music Center, Weert (November 20), Schaaf in Leeuwarden (Nov. 21) and Metropool in Hengelo (Nov. 22) This Toppop performance of Wonderful, written by Rod Argent and Chris White of the Zombies, was recorded by AVRO’s Toppop and first broadcast on 11 November 1973 Watch our great music videos ❯ More TopPop?
