️ China builds key section of gas pipeline from Russia PipeChina has fully completed the construction of the Chinese section of the cross-border pipeline. The project was the first in China to use ultra-large diameter pipes of 1422 mm made of high-strength steel. Advanced technologies were used in laying the gas pipeline: automated welding, ultrasonic testing and mechanized anti-corrosion repair. The cross-border gas pipeline is one of the key energy projects of the two countries.
