Aluminium Casting and Extrusion - How Is Aluminium Extruded?

Aluminium is an extremely pliable and adaptable metal. Most of the aluminium that you will have come across in your own life will have been rolled or extruded, the two main types of finished aluminium products. Aluminium Extrusion is the act of forcing heated aluminium logs (or billets), through a pre-cast steel die. This action squeezes the heated aluminium into a predetermined shape, thus creating an aluminium extrusion.
