Instructional chinese combat Gao Chen Gao Chen is a third generation Yiquan master. The style lineage looks like this: Wang Xiangzhai (1885 - 1963) - Zhang Engui (1907 - 2005) - Gao Chen (b. 1971). Gao Chen’s teacher Zhang Engui is a major figure in the history of Yiquan. He was a famous student of Wang Xiangzhai, the closest friend and associate of Zhao Daoxin and Zhang Entong. In addition, he was a master of Hebei xingyiquan, having mastered it under the guidance of Zhang Hongqing, a student of Li Cunyi. Another teacher of Gao Chen was the famous Yiquan expert Yang Hongchen (b. 1946), who studied with many of Wang Xiangzhai’s students.
