A song written in the perspective of Shota Rustaveli, a Georgian poet whose last refuge was Palestine, where he died in Jerusalem and still remains to this day. In the Soviet Era, Rustaveli became something of a national hero, with his works being translated into languages across the Eastern Bloc. His final resting place being in Palestine additionally provided a further link between the Soviet Union and the Palestinian liberation struggle, whom they shared close ties with.
