Early Saturday morning Octoper 7th 2023, thousands of people attending a desert rave party in Kibbutz Re’im located in n the north-western Negev desert found themselves fleeing for their lives following a surprise attack by Hamas. Many of them were massacred and taken hostage to Gaza by Palestinian militants. The outdoor trance music festival was held in honor of the Sukkot festival. Produced by NOVA productions, it began at 11 p.m. and continued all night, attended by thousands of Israelis aged 20-40 from all over the country.
