Routine II of Big Cannon Boxing

When you finish the first Routine of Shaolin Canon Boxing you are facing the opposite direction than when you started, North has now become South. If you add on this second form you end up facing as you began. The Cannon series was created to emphasize the best of the classical Shaolin movements. Postures were taken from ancient forms and blended with the new forms of the day (centuries ago). They created a powerful series of movements that stretch, twist, spin and strengthen the back. Though not fancy these posture and actions are distinct and show you a Shaolin with strong motions and characteristic structure. Though you can practice them separately the two forms create a nice whole. Shi DeYang explains the movements, demonstrates and also shows the form with two other practitioners..
