2008 Mazda Furai is a sports car concept that is at home both on the street and on the track.
The Furai is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car with a three-rotor rotary engine (3 x 654 cm3) that runs on ethanol. Its high sporty rasp comes from approximately 450 HP of rotary power at 9,000 rpm and gets this to the road using a Hewland TLS, 6-speed sequential transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shift.
