Secrets of Sekhmet: The Ancient Egyptian Goddess of War

She was bloodthirsty, and almost killed them all, in the name of her father, the God Ra. When the last of humanity cowered in fear of her murderous wrath, Sekhmet was only stopped when Ra tricked her by getting her to drink beer dyed red to look like blood. She passed out completely drunk, and forgot her blood lust. Sekhmet was the Egyptian goddess of war and vengeance. She was often depicted as a lioness, and her name meant: “The Powerful One.“ Sekhmet was a force to be reckoned with, and she was often called upon to punish those who had wronged the gods or the people of Egypt. Do you know what Goddess Sekhmet took the form of when she wasn’t in War and Vengeance mode?
