“The Alan Parsons Project“ was a Prog Rock / Art Rock band formed in 1975. Normally I’m not terribly interested in this genre, but TAPP released very good stuff. This song in particular is widely known though not many people know who performed it. It’s often used in TV broadcast. I particularly know it from 80s and 90s political documentaries here in Germany. I always loved that song and found it was way too short. So I made this version. The fantastic footage of our nocturnal lightbringer is provided with kind permission by Christian Sommer.
