ROTTERDAM - President Erdoğan’s election success is celebrated in the Netherlands

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s success in the second round of the Presidential Election according to the unofficial results was celebrated with enthusiasm in the Netherlands. A large number of Turkish citizens gathered in Hofplein Square in Rotterdam, unfurled Turkish flags and chanted slogans in support of Erdoğan. Citizens toured the streets in convoys by honking their horns with their vehicles. Upon the increase in the number of vehicles and the crowd, Hofplein Square was closed to traffic.
