The 1928 Derby. (Titles are in the middle of the story.) Epsom, Surrey. Top shot of the crowds, tents and racecourse at Epsom. L/Ss of the horses and jockeys riding towards the starting line, lining up and starting off at the beginning of the race. Several shots of the race; huge crowds watch. Intertitle reads: “...and in slow motion.“ L/S of the horses riding along in slow motion, taken from above a section of the crowd. In normal speed we see the winning horse and jockey, Felstead ridden by H Wragg, riding towards the winner’s enclosure, surrounded by policemen and other people. The horse is led around the enclosure, watched by an admiring crowd. Titles read: “The Derby - 1928.“ [New intertitle] “Enormous crowds, in glorious sunshine, see “Felstead“... ridden by H.
