This melody is very special for me. About 5 years ago I came to Rome after a long trip to India. It was the end of February, my favorite time of the year. The spring was at the start, the city was empty, all at my service. So, I was wondering about and met a girl. We talked, drank coffee corretto with sambuca to get warm. Suddenly it started snowing, it happens in spring here, and she asked: “Have you ever seen snow falling in Pantheon?” Pantheon is a huge ancient building, built by the emperor Marcus Agrippa. It is a half-pagan, half-Christian temple/memorial, where all the greatest Italians are buried. We ran into the Pantheon and, when we went inside this huge dark space, snow was falling through the round hole in the dome. Have you ever seen specks of dust swirling in a sunray? It was much the same with the snowflakes swirling and falling on the Rafael Santi’s tomb. It was breathtaking as if I was in some amazingly beautiful movie. Only Sorrentino could’ve shot such a film. I remember looking at the Roman girl and hearing how she sounded. My charming companion became a melody herself. Because of this enormous beauty, which she gave me for the first time in my life did I understand what does it mean when you’re melting. So this music composition is my gratitude for la Grande bellezza - to Rome and to the beautiful Roman girl. “Melting” – about the album: The album was released on the 17th of April on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play. And we’re sent there by ourselves. Depression, arrogance, wrath, lack of love - all these things freeze our souls. But even from the bottom of the deepest and the coldest of hells do we hear the music of our hearts still hot.
