’freedom’ For Dominion Premiers (1926)

Full title reads: “Freedom for Dominion Premiers. The Lord Mayor and Duke and Duchess of York attend historic ceremony to South African, New Zealand and Newfoundland Premiers“. City of London. Various shots of cars drawing up outside a grand hotel; doormen hold open doors and we see several dignitaries (Empire Prime Ministers?) and their wives get out. A man in a cloak ushers a little girl forward who presents one of the wives with a bouquet. M/S of Lord Mayor of London (Colonel Sir Rowland Blades) and Lady Mayoress being helped into horse drawn carriage by attendants in ceremonial robes and cocked hats. M/S of Duke of York (Prince Albert) and Duchess of York (Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon) getting into waiting car outside hotel. They shake hands with cloaked man as they pass him.
