How to create Oceans and large bodies of water with Maya and Boss. I’m trying out a different format with this tutorial so it’s a little more scripted. This will be a a quickfire look at creating quick and easy setups for large bodies of water using Maya’s Bifrost Ocean Simulation System (BOSS). For a more in depth look, the Maya learning channel has a four part series covering all the different tools available with BOSS: Worth checking out for things like boat wakes and foam, which I do not cover. This tutorial will be focussed on creating the caches as quickly as possible and getting them shaded in your scene.
