Rescued Pigs See Grass for First Time

Wilbur and Anastasia were rescued from a northern California equine “sanctuary“ and rescue. The shelter had to stop its operations and animal control intervened to take custody of the horses and other two pigs, Wilbur and Anastasia. Wilbur lived in a 20x30 dirt lot, while Anastasia languished in a 10x15’ pen. They have spent years in these small enclosures. This is the story of their rescue and liberation to green pastures and more space than they have ever known.
