Battle of flowers on Isle of Jersey. British possessions off the French coast in the English Channel. Parade in progress; for some sort of holiday?Shot of parade approaching camera, front diag. view; w/ spectators seated in shaded stands on rt. A tiny boy walks in front holding rope of team of 6 horses (adult men actually walk alongside holding the horses); horses pull a float covered w/ flowers ; girls of various ages dressed in white wave from on or around a gazebo - like structure. Next float is a castle tower (also covered w/ flowers).A fantasy; fairy tale King - in big crown and long beard sits in front of tower; along w/ little boys in sailor suits - - also a tall 3-pronged fork sticking up; symbol of Neptune God of the Sea of Roman mythology. Next a group of teenage boys in sailor suits pull a float again covered w/ beautiful flowers; also 2 men wearing top hats; etc..
