Astronauts Heard “Outer Spacey“ Music During Apollo 10 Mission

For four decades, reports of “eerie music“ heard near the moon were kept classified by NASA. In 2008, the transcripts were uncovered. The Apollo 10 crew reported hearing “outer spacey“ music while they were practicing maneuvers orbiting the far side of the moon. Over the course of an hour, all of the astronauts aboard the 1969 mission admit to hearing the music and describe how weird it sounds. They debated whether or not to tell mission control as they returned to Earth.
