Pro-Palestinian protesters smash weapons factory

Pro-Palestinian protesters smashed up a weapons factory in Kent, UK, believing it to be supplying weapons to Israel. The protesters, from Palestine Action, broke into the Instro Precision weapons factory at the Sandwich Discovery Park, smashing windows, cutting through security fences, damaging equipment inside, and laying down spike traps for vehicles outside. And, because this is 2024, they filmed the incident themselves, showing them clad in orange jumpsuits and armed with crowbars and hammers. The group has targeted the Sandwich business to further their goal of ‘dismantling technology, machinery and parts used to produce weapons of war in a bid to prevent the export of arms to Gaza [to be used by Israel].’ The group styles itself as a ‘direct-action network of groups and individuals formed with the mandate of taking action against the sites of [Israeli Defense Contractor] Elbit Systems and other companies complicit in Israeli apartheid, calling for all such sites to be shut down.’ Sandwich police have so far not commented on the break-in. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freedom over censorship, truth over narrative.
