How To Paint in Negative Space in Watercolour Watercolor Hydrangea Blue Tutorial

This is me painting an hydrangea in negative space. This technique lends itself really well to images that seem to have a lot of layers to them. Once you’ve decided on your picture, just choose what is in each layer and paint around that. The rule is that once you have a layer, you never go back over that layer.
