Blackpool - These Boots Are Made For Walking

Closing scene of first episode of British series Blackpool (. ’Viva Blackpool’ in .) which was first broadcasted by the BBC in 2004. Six episode series about the efforts to revive the English city of Blackpool by changing it into a casino haven like Las Vegas. Episode one finishes with this standoff between the two major characters, ambitious and scrupulous entrepreneur Ripley Holden (magnificently played by David Morrissey) and Peter Carlisle (David Tennant) a charming and good natured investigating officer. Both personalities are displayed and tested thanks to a modern interpretation of classic Nancy Sinatra’s song These Boots Are Made For Walkin’.
