Young male lion takes on a massive hyena clan

Lions and hyenas are natural enemies that share much of the same range throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Both these mammals are fierce predators and live in packs. This lone young lion was probably a nomad that was kicked out of its pride and is now facing the unforgiving wilderness by himself.
