The Joker (1936)

Full title reads: “The Joker!“ Quirky item looking at some jokey gadgets demonstrated by “the human box of tricks“, Paul Clive. Interior, studio set. M/S of a man taking a seat beside Mr. C. Mr. C. hands him a glass of stout. Both men go to take a drink - the man discovers he has invisible lid on his glass preventing him from drinking. C/U of Mr. C. smoking a large cigar. He unscrews the false cigar revealing the real cigarette inside he is smoking. C/U of a matchbox that lets out a spark as it opens. M/S of man, Mr. C. sparks lighter that when sparked releases a ball and a squeak. C/U of various sound boxes that squeak and moo, one looks like a pepperpot but makes noise of a baby crying. C/U of a small wireless that whistles as the dial is turned, the dial then springs off completely. C/U of Mr. C. putting on monocle and false teeth with beard and moustache attached.
