Ukrainians Restore National Culture Through Ancient Cossack Dance Hopak

Kyiv, July 24, 2012. Just outside of Kyiv at the Pyrogiv open-air museum, modern-day Cossacks of the International Federation of Combat Hopak organized a fabulous festival, full of history, food and dance. Festival attendees gathered around the open stage in amusement as young and boisterous modern-day Cossack’s performed their age-old celebratory hopak dance, illustrating each performer’s sense of speed, strength, and manliness.
