Picturesque Parade & Cuts (1926)

Scotland. Title: “Picturesque Parade by Glasgow Students in effort to raise £10,000 in aid of local Hospitals“. M/S of a procession of students coming through the crowd lined streets of Glasgow, many are dressed as comical Scots with large fake beards and oversized tam-o’-shanters, others are dressed as clown, skeletons and may other wild and whacky variations. M/S of trucks driving slowly along in the procession, students in fancy dress lean out of the windows and sit on the roof, in the background are three large arches. M/S of four students - two women and two men - dressed in Victorian costumes, they sit in an open topped horse drawn carriage. Low angled shot of a carnival float driving under the arches, a man plays the trombone and a scantily clad girl does high kicks. M/S of a student dressed as a policeman on a hobby horse, he blows a whistle and signals wildly with his arms, a real policeman stands behind, looking amused.
