Russia claims it repelled Ukraine attack on Snake Island as satellite image of its damage released

Satellite images of Snake Island, showed what appeared to be recent damage from the conflict between Ukraine and Russia including areas of mass burnt vegetation. Russia claim the picture as they had successfully repelled a Ukrainian assault to retake the Black Sea’s Snake Island captured by Moscow. However, claims from Ukraine military say otherwise, as it claim its airstrikes has caused “significant losses“ to Russian forces. The claims cannot be verified.
