The Arctic Explorer - Blender Animated Short

I took some time off from all the cars and engines and spent some time fiddling with simple characters and animation. I felt like I needed to work on a project with a story in it. Visually a lot of things could be improved in this animation, but I decided to finally call it done. Hope you can ignore these things and enjoy the simple, little story anyway. Introduction to the story: Far in the north the contemplative explorer named Ivan lives in his small cabin in the middle of the snowy desert - surrounded by nothing but ice and the plank of his humble home. But one day as Ivan sits in his favorite cozy chair in front of the crackling fireplace he receives a post card from a friend. The message is simple: I have something important to tell you. Meet me at sunset. However, things does not turn out exactly as one would expect. (Otherwise it would have been a very lame story...)
