When you ask yourself these days what the greatest threats to human existence on planet Earth are, you probably think of nuclear war, global warming, climate change, or a large and long-lasting pandemic. But assuming we could actually overcome all of these challenges, are we really safe in the long run? Life on our so-small-it’s-blue planet only seems safe as long as we are unaware of all the potential dangers lurking in space.
