TRAMS in DAUGAVPILS LATVIA | Trams made in Russia

Trams in Daugavpils Latvia are operational since 1946 and now it mostly consists from trams made in Russia (apart from several Tatra T3 trams that were received from Germany in mid-2000s): 71-605А (KTM-5A), 71-623-02, 71-631, 71-911 «City Star», Tatra T3. Most of these trams are seen in the video, except 71-631 that do not operate during weekends or summer holidays. Previously, all trams were using only the trolley pole, now the usage is mixed. During the last few years, the city decided to switch to a pantograph. Nowadays, only the oldest 71-605A (KTM-5A) and Tatra trams are using the trolley pole, all newer trams are using the pantograph only. Daugavpils is the second largest city in Latvia.
