Throughout the Second World War, the SS inside of the concentration camps used deceit to execute thousands of people. Inside of small execution chambers at different camps, there were fake medical facilities and prisoners were told they were going in for a routine examination. However then an executioner would shoot them. One woman who suffered this horrific fate at Mauthausen was Anna Letenska, an actress who was rather well know across Czechoslovakia. Anna Letenska’s second husband was linked to the men that assassinated Reinhard Heydrich, the brutal man who oversaw much terror and execution inside of Czechoslovakia.
