The Marble Machine took 16 months to build and 2 hours to take apart.
I took the boat to mainland to disassemble the first Marble Machine. The Machine is going to the fantastic Speelklook Museum in Utrecht, Holland!
So this summer you can actually see the Machine if you visit Utrecht.
Sometime around the end May 2017 i will be at Spielklook Museum to re-assemble the machine. I will put up the exact dates once decided. I’m assembling the machine in one of their exhibition halls and the museum is open so come say hello and watch me struggle with this hacked together improvised machine. I can’t tell you enough times what a complete difference it is between the way MM1 and MMX is developed and built. Taking the first machine apart and seeing all the naive and improvised solutions makes me believe even more in the Marble Machine X because of the planned engineering approach we have now.
