SEA SHIELD 18 - NATO largest exercise in Black Sea 2018

Sea Shield took place during May 4-11, according to a scenario based on a fictitious geopolitical situation, and had over 2,300 Romanian and foreign troops (American, British, Bulgarian, Greek, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian). 21 military ships, 10 combat aircraft and a submarine. The Standing NATO Maritime Group - SNMG 2 took part in the exercise, with HMS Duncan leading the other vessels in the group: SPS Victoria, Turkish ship Gemlik, Bulgarian frigate Drazki and Romanian frigate F-221 “Regele Ferdinand“
