Somnia may be a recent signing to Suanda Music, but he isn’t a newcomer in the electronic music world. Known for a few years already for his energetic psy-infused sounds, having rocked the dancefloors at Tomorrowland events, and having made a few immensely popular bootlegs, he has recently brought his signature vibes to Suanda Dark with ’Afterglow’. Now, him and Roman join forces for a new vocal track in the same style! Not quite psy trance, but certainly leaning in that direction and inspired by that sound, Roman Messer and Somnia’s ’The Edge’ is a trance offering that is powered by the synergy of both musicians’ strengths. With a melodic intro, groovy bassline of the kickoff, and spacey vocals, ’The Edge’ pulls the listener in, before the short breakdown builds into a massive melodic drop with triplets. Bristling with energy, but not sacrificing the musical content for it, ’The Edge’ is the 350th release on the Suanda imprint and was presented by both artists at the recent huge Trancemission festival in Moscow, as an ID at that time, as well as played by both in their respective sets during the club events celebrating Suanda Music’s 10 year anniversary.
