DHL A300-600F BIRDSTRIKE & FLAMES From The Engine On Take-off, At Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

This Airbus A300B4-600/F from DHL suffered a bird strike on take-off at Amsterdam Schiphol airport heading for the DHL Cargo hub of Leipzig Halle airport. The Pilots had contact with the tower but resumed the flight toward Leipzig and landed safely. Luckily DHL has their maintenance base at Leipzig Halle. But man! I got the shock of my live when I saw flames coming from the left engine! Amsterdam Schiphol airport has units driving around the airport to keep the birds away from the airfield day and night.
