I wanted to represent the immense and quiet power of matter, what was before and what will be after. It’s also a reminder of the supremacy of Nature that will outlive us humans no matter what happens, and how pathetic our imperialism looks in the face of geological forces. It includes some shots from the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, which I experienced first hand while i was in Japan.
