Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom Wine Red

There’s not a lot that I can say about the Gibson Les Paul Custom that hasn’t already been said and this Classic Custom model just confirms what an iconic design the Les Paul was. The Les Paul Custom was originally conceived as the “Black Tie“ Les Paul that would suit the more refined occasions and the Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom wouldn’t be out of place in polite, refined company with it’s stunning Wine Red finish ... In an effort to retain that traditional Les Paul sound Gibson have used their usual specification of a Mahogany body with a carved Maple top and Mahogany neck. However, in a break from from tradition the fretboard has been made using Baked Maple and features Acrylic white block inlays as fret markers. The body and neck have been bound at the edges whilst at the headstock you’ll find Grover “Keystone“ shaped machine head keys that have a 14:1 tuning ratio. The Classic Custom’s sound comes courtesy of a Gibson ’57 Classic Plus
