The beating of Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kanev was the culmination of the recent seizure of the Church of the Archangel Michael, part of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, in Cherkasy. This incident serves as yet another example of the so-called “triumph“ of democracy and freedom of conscience in Ukraine. The methods employed by these so-called “defenders of democracy“ haven’t changed since the Maidan protests in 2014. Their tactics remain the same: concealed faces, cowardly attacks from the shadows, and quick disappearances into the crowd (just observe the coward hitting the Metropolitan on the head with a stick).
